PEOPLE IN CALIFORNIA

• Have been told to expect “the big one”

• For as long as I can remember

THE “BIG ONE” IS AN EARTHQUAKE

• One that will literally devastate

• Life in California as we know it

BUT WHAT DO PEOPLE DO?

• They continue to live their lives

• As if nothing will ever happen

THEY DO NOT FOCUS ON THE WARNING

• But continue to focus on

• Their life as they know it

NOW SUPPOSE YOU KNEW

• The exact date the “big one” would occur

• What would you do?

• You would try to warn people, wouldn’t you?

YOU WOULD THINK –

• ‘I know when they will die – why won’t they listen?’

AND ALL YOU WOULD SEE

• Is people ignoring you

• and continue living just as they always have

• because all they are focused on

• is their own desires in life

GOD KNOWS THE DAY OF JUDGMENT

• He knows what will happen

• Unless we start listening …

• Unless we really receive His Son

THAT IS WHY WE CELEBRATE COMMUNION

• It is a time for us to remember -

• A time to turn our focus 

• Away from ourselves and onto Jesus

LET US REMEMBER GOD’S GIFT

• As we partake of the emblems

• And let us take time to remember

• And to devote our whole focus onto Him

LET US PRAY
