• Thru the lives of many Old Testament people
• One of those was Joseph

IN GENESIS 37:3 WE ARE TOLD

• That Joseph was his father’s much-loved son

MATTHEW 3:17 & 17:5 TELLS US

• That Jesus was the
• Beloved Son of His Father

JOSEPH WAS PERSECUTED BY HIS OWN BROTHERS

• Jesus came unto His own and they persecuted Him
• Joseph was sold and then became a slave
• Then became king of the known world

JESUS WAS SOLD OUT

• Only to become a servant to others
• And finally ended up King of kings and Lord of lords

JOSEPH WAS THE PHYSICAL SALVATION OF ISRAEL

• Because only he had the food they needed
• Jesus is the spiritual salvation to the world
• Because only He has the spiritual food that produces life

JOSEPH’S OWN BROTHERS

• Ended up bowing before him
• And in PHILIPPIANS 2:10 we are told
• That eventually, everyone will bow before Jesus

JESUS IS OUR ONLY SAVIOR

• Only He died for our sins
• And Only He can welcome us
• To His Heavenly home

SO LET US REMEMBER HIM

• For what He did
• For why He did it
• And for the promise to come back and gather us up

AND AS WE PARTAKE OF THESE EMBLEMS TODAY

• Let us, above all, remember to
• Love Him and exalt Him
• In all we do
