WE ALL KNOW WHAT A WINE PRESS IS

• It is where grapes are trampled

• So their juice will drain out

• And wine can be made from it

AN OLIVE PRESS IS THE SAME THING

• Only it is made to trample and press olives

• That is where we get our olive oil from

ON THE NIGHT JESUS WAS BETRAYED

• He went to the Garden of Gethsemane

• Somewhere nearby

• Would have been an olive press

IT WAS SIGNIFICANT

• That Jesus prayed near a press

• Just hours before He was put to death

IT WAS AS IF ALL OF OUR SINS

• Were trampling Him

• And His life’s blood

• Would soon flow from His body

HEBREWS 10:29 asks,

‘How severely do you think we who have trampled the Son of God under our feet should be punished?’

YOU AND I PUNISHED JESUS

• And all He ever did

• Was love us enough

• To let us punish Him

LET US BREAK THE BREAD

• And drink of the cup today

• As we remember

• How we are saved

• Because of what He did.
