• Get the job seeker to look at himself

• The way the potential employer will be looking at him

• And thereby, increasing the possibilities of being hired

In the Corinthian church

• the “appearance problem” was serious, too

• they “did” all the right things

• but they did them with the wrong heart

PAUL CALLED FOR SELF EXAMINATION, TOO

• Believers need to judge themselves

• to avoid being judged as unfit by the Lord

• we need to judge and examine ourselves

• to purge anything standing in our lives

• that might block a relationship with Jesus as Lord

WE NEED TO JUDGE OURSELVES

• So that our hearts will be right

• Especially in this time of remembrance

1 CORINTHIANS 11:23-25

"He took the bread, and when He had given thanks, He broke it and said – This is my body, which is broken for you.  Do this in remembrance of me.

In the same way, after supper, He took the cup, saying, This cup is the new promise in my blood – do this whenever You drink it - in remembrance of me."
