A STUDY WAS DONE YEARS AGO

• A fish had two scales put upright

• And then put in aquarium with other fish

• Other fish killed it

THEY SAID THE STUDY SHOWED

• Nature likes to protect itself

• From the unnatural things of itself

• We don’t like things

• That are not as good as they should be

A FOGGY EARLY MORNING IN 1993

• A barge rammed into a pillar

• That pillar supported a train track

• And it knocked part of the track off

A FEW MINUTES LATER

• Came a train at 70 mph

• 210 passengers were thrown into the water

• the water was alligator infested

THE COAST GUARD ARRIVED QUICKLY

• They saved 163 who were in the water

• But most of the people stuck in cars drowned

ONE COUPLE IN A CAR

• Broke the window

• And handed out their little girl

• So the rescuers could save her

A PICTURE OF PERFECT SALVATION

• Except for the fact

• She was severely handicapped  -  cerebral palsey

• The parents saved her because they loved her

WE WERE MADE TO BE PERFECT

• We were made to walk in fellowship with God

• But we chose to turn away

• And to live in sin

WE ARE LIKE THAT FISH

• We are not as we should be

AND GOD IS LIKE THOSE PARENTS

• He loves us enough

• To save us anyway

AND THAT IS WHAT WE REMEMBER

• At the time of Communion

• God sent a perfect Son

• To save an imperfect world

HEBREWS 5:9

‘ … and once made perfect, He became the source of eternal salvation for all who obey Him.’

LET US REMEMBER

• How imperfect we are
• And what Jesus went through
• Just so we could be saved
