In MATTHEW 26:29, Jesus said  -

‘I tell you, I will not drink of this fruit of the vine from now on until that day when I drink it anew with you in my Father's kingdom.’

In MATTHEW 24:44 it tells us -

‘So be ready, for the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect Him.’

IN BOTH VERSES

• Jesus is referring to His coming back

• He promises to be with us again

BUT THAT IS THE ONE THING

• churches don’t like to talk about …..

• the return of Jesus Christ

EVEN THOUGH EVERY WEEK

• during our time of Communion
• we strongly profess His return

1 CORINTHIANS 11:26

‘For whenever you eat this bread and drink   this cup, you proclaim the Lords death until He comes.’

COMMUNION IS A TRADITION

• But should never be taken

• Just because of the tradition

IT IS A LOUD PROCLAMATION

• That we boldly believe

• In the Promises of our Lord

• Enough to stack our eternal lives on it

JUST AS HIS RESURRECTION

• Cannot be separated from His death

• His promised return

• Cannot be separated from our faith

• as we come together in His presence
• yearning and longing for that Day
