AT EVERY PASSOVER DINNER

• There stands a cup of wine & loaf of bread

• Nobody ever touched it – it wasn't theirs

• It only belonged to the coming Messiah.

AT THE LAST SUPPER

• Jesus did something no other had ever considered

• He took that bread and cup as His own

• And then He gave thanks for it

AND EVEN THOUGH IT BELONGED TO HIM

• But what did He do with it ?

• He shared it   -  with those who loved Him

AND THAT IS WHAT JESUS DOES TODAY

• With the eternal life God has given Him

• He shares it with those who love Him

HIS DISCIPLES WEREN’T PERFECT

• They were much like we are

• They often stumbled

• and many times just didn’t understand

• But Jesus was always there to lift them up

• And to lovingly teach them more

YOU DON’T HAVE TO BE PERFECT

• To partake of Communion

• All you have to be is sincere

• It will be our sincerity; our honesty with Christ

• That will enable Him to take us further, too

JOHN 3:16 –

'God so loved the world, that He gave His only Son, that whoever would believe in Him would not perish but have eternal life.'

TO BELIEVE IN JESUS

• We must focus on Him

• And what better time to do that

• Than in His presence   ….  

• At the table of Communion ?
