JESUS WAS FULLY GOD  &   FULLY MAN

  • His eyes were much like ours

  • But He saw things differently

  • He saw things from an eternal perspective

WHEN HE LOOKED AT PEOPLE

  • He didn’t just see their outward bodies

  • He saw deep within their hearts

  • He looked at their needs and their hurts

IN THE LAST SUPPER

  • As He looked at the wine and the bread

  • He saw more than a loaf and a cup

  • He saw His own sacrificial death

HIS EYES WERE FILLED WITH LOVE

  • For those who persecuted Him

  • And for those who watched as He died

HE SAW BEYOND THE IMMEDIATE

  • And we need to see beyond today

  • We need to be able to see

  • Where we will spend eternity

  • But we can only do so through Jesus

WE ARE ADMONISHED TO REMEMBER

  • Not His birth

  • But His death

BECAUSE IT IS ONLY IN HIS DEATH

  • We find the blood that was shed

  • To give us the promise of life

HEBREWS   12:2

“Fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith who – for the joy set before Him – endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.”

WE ARE CALLED TO REMEMBER

  • That He is coming back

  • To gather up His loved ones

  • So that we might live eternally with Him

PRAY    ---    For help in remembering Jesus
And for help in focusing on Him
