WE HAVE ALL BEEN IN AN AIRPORT

• And seen people waiting for flights

• Behind every face is a story

• Of why they are flying at that time

SOME WANT TO LEAVE A BAD PLACE

• Some are seeking something new

• some might even be going back home

WATCHING A CONGREGATION ENTER INTO COMMUNION

• Is much like watching people in an airport

• Some want to leave an unhappy past

• Some want a new life

• Some might be trying to get back home …. to Jesus

NO MATTER WHAT THE REASON

• We sit here waiting for the emblems

• The only thing that is important

• Is our focus on Jesus

• And our willingness to bow to His authority

THIS IS THE LORD’ SUPPER … NOT OURS

• It is given for our benefit – not His

• It is to help us remember Him

WHY WOULD HE DO THIS FOR US?

• Because He loves us 

• And all He wants from us

• Is for us to love Him back

MATTHEW 18:37

‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind.’  That is the first and greatest commandment.  And the second is, ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ 

LET US LOVE HIM ENOUGH

• To remember what Jesus means to us

• And to love others in His name
