THERE ARE MANY DENOMINATIONS

• And each denomination

• Worships a little differently than one other

AND WITHIN EACH DENOMINATION

• There are many churches

• And each church worships differently, too

BUT THERE IS ONE AREA

• That all of us do similarly

• That is taking of the Lord’s Supper

BEFORE ANY CHURCH GOVERNMENT WAS FORMED

• Before one word of the New Testament was written

• Communion was firmly established

• As an act that each Christian observed

IN 1 CORINTHIANS, PAUL QUOTES JESUS -

“When you eat of the bread, do it in remembrance of Me ….”

And “When you drink of the cup, do so likewise – in remembrance of Me ….”

WE DO THIS AS A UNIFIED BODY

• Putting all differences aside

• And focusing as Christians

• On what Christ did for us

• And that He will be coming back for us

IN MATTHEW, JESUS SAYS …

‘In My Father’s House are many mansions.  I go to prepare a place for you – And if I go, I will surely come back for you.’

EPHESIANS 2:18 says,

‘We no longer belong to this world but are citizens of Heaven – God’s holy children.’

MISSIONARY KIDS OFTEN SAY …

• They feel a “little” at home everywhere

• But don’t feel “totally” at home anywhere

AN OLD CHRISTIAN SONG GOES …

• 'This world is not my home, I’m just a passin’ through …’

• We no longer belong to this world

• Because our soul now belong to heaven, through Jesus

LET US CELEBRATE IN UNITY

• That, because of what Christ did for us

• There will be a day

• When we will feel totally at home

• In that house of many mansions
